SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Genesis Systems, Inc. is the national leader in Vital Records applications. Seeking programmers for our Cedar Park, TX office. Genesis applications provide over 25% of the Birth, Death and Life Event data in the United States and contracts directly with the State Departments of Health and Hospital Systems.

This position will require project design, management of development teams, active coding in JavaScript and C# in .NET Framework and interfacing with other members of the project team to assure compliance with customer’s needs. Assistance coordinating all SDLC tasks to assure on time delivery and implementation will also be required, as will attendance at Joint Application Design sessions.

We are seeking to fill multiple Programmer positions. Genesis Systems contracts are generally for development of state-wide enterprise-level Vital Record applications and support after release. Therefore, limited travel is required. This is a growth position with other opportunities in the future.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You Should Have:

· Recent hands-on experience in Web & Database, SQL for large application development projects. This includes: C#, WCF, Entity Framework, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft.NET, ASP.NET, XHTML, AJAX, XML, Object Oriented Javascript, JQUERY, HTML, Relational Databases, SQL, and ORACLE.

· Understanding and knowledge of multi-tier portal architecture, web technologies, enterprise networking, distributed systems technologies/methodologies, distributed database management systems, groupware, as well as the latest networking and communications technologies.

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Ability to work and lead in a team environment, as well as complete work independently and meet deadlines.

· Excellent writing and communications skills

· Competent in Microsoft Office products.

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or commiserate experience.
