Genex is looking for a Data Architect (DA) to support the Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Laboratory at the Turned Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC) in Mc Lean, VA.

The DA is responsible for acquiring, managing, analyzing, visualizing and interpreting vast amounts of NDE and infrastructure data. The DA shall be experienced in data modeling to assist software engineers with system architecture and design.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• familiar with different data visualization schemes, and 4D representation of data.
• proven working experience as a data analyst with spatial and scientific datasets
• technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• strong knowledge of and experience with databases, programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
• strong knowledge of cloud solutions and open source concepts
• familiarity with collaborative data analysis
• experience with GitHub, Jira, and agile development
• knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc);
• strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;
• adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The DA requires a BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
