JOB DESCRIPTION:
Genex Systems is looking for a Software Developer to support the FHWA Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC) Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Laboratory. The NDE Laboratory is developing a non-proprietary, open-source software platform to analyze and visualize NDE and other infrastructure data and fuse sensor data. We are looking for a versatile software developer to work on the front end user Interface and back-end server applications. The main focus will be with the development of 3-D visualization tools and Augmented Reality tools to help end-users understand NDE results.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in Computer Science or closely related field and a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience developing 3-D visualization tools for scientific data.
- Experience with Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality tools.
- Experience with open distributed architecture.
- Experience with design, development and testing of web User Interface.
- Python, JavaScript, NodeJS, MongoDB, JSON, Rest API, AWS
- Able to perform test driven development.
- Ability to research and implement emerging technologies.
- Git code management practices.
- Agile Development.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
- Capable of working both independently and with small teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
