    Job Description

    RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Prepare a variety of sushi products and other Asian inspired dishes, according to supervisors’ instructions, following approved recipes & procedures

    · Weigh and measure ingredients; properly use recipes in order to produce a standard product

    · Clean, cut raw fish

    · Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation

    · Ensures production paperwork and/or sanitation paperwork is maintained according to company guidelines

    · At times, complete deliveries and pickups at designated locations and obtain signatures and proof of receipt when necessary

    · Maintains food safety logs and any record keeping needed

    · Maintain a professional image while delivering and stocking inside the approved retailer

    FOOD SAFETY:

    · Absolutely essential to be able and willing to follow all cleaning and sanitizing guidelines

    · Strictly adhere to all food safety best practices and procedures

    · Act with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and high-temperature surfaces

    · MUST BE WILLING TO GAIN SERVSAFE CERTIFICATION WITHIN 90 DAYS OF HIRE (COMPANY PAID AND ADMINISTERED)

    OTHER:

    · Eager to learn and perform all areas of food preparation according to company standard and guidelines. Required to perform miscellaneous duties like transferring the supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, organizing products, and assisting with deliveries

    · Ability to use navigation tools such as GPS, smart phone apps and/or physical map

    · Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for 8 hours

    · Ability to work quickly and accurately during busy periods

    · Must be punctual and have a flexible schedule

    · Must be able to communicate in English, both written and verbally

    · We participate in E-Verify

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

    · Ability to take direction and follow recipes

    · Working knowledge and understanding of health, safety, and sanitation standards

    · Professional work ethic and effective communication skills

    · Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

    · Must be able to obtain a ServeSafe food safety certification (or equivalent local certification) within 3 months of employment

    · Must have ability to work flexible schedule including overnight shifts and weekends

    · Must be able to meet physical demands of the position including extended periods of standing and walking throughout the day; ability to lift, pull, push carry up to 50 pounds.
