About You: Our hospital is growing at an exponential rate and we are looking to expand our team. Ideally, you will have a certification as a veterinary technician/nurse in Wisconsin or will be able to transfer your license from another state. Responsibilities: Working alongside a collaborative, small, and quality-focused team you will get to: • Provide care to a wide range of animals. You work with not only dogs and cats but also other animals like hobby farm animals to exotic animals • Review vaccination records, prepare vaccines if needed, and administer vaccines according to the vaccine protocol of Gentle Vet Animal Hospital • Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments as well as associated costs by providing a treatment plan/estimate • Maintain and use medical equipment such as autoclaves, surgical instruments, X-rays, blood system analyzers, etc. • Educate the public about diseases that can be spread from animals to humans • Assist with compassionate end-of-life discussions with clients and humane euthanasia of patients when medically and/or ethically necessary • Induce and maintain anesthesia • Dentistry • And, many other duties! Qualifications: • You must have a certification as a veterinary technician/nurse in Wisconsin or will be able to transfer your license from another state • Recent graduates from accredited AVMA CVTEA programs will also be considered Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly
