Should you be not ready to apply but interested to learn more, we’d love to connect for an informational conversation.  Responsibilities: Working alongside a collaborative, small, and quality-focused team you will get to:  • Provide care to a wide range of animals not only dogs, cats, but also other animals like hobby farm animals to exotic animals • Review vaccination records, prepare vaccines if needed, and administer vaccines according to the vaccine protocol of Gentle Vet Animal Hospital • Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments as well as associated costs by providing a treatment plan/estimate • Maintain and use medical equipment such as autoclaves, surgical instruments, X-ray, blood system analyzers, etc. • Educate the public about diseases that can be spread from animals to humans • Assist with compassionate end-of-life discussions with clients and humane euthanasia of patients when medically and/or ethically necessary • Induce and maintain anesthesia • Many many other duties! • Qualifications: • You must have a certification as a technician/ nurse. We'll consider non-credentialed assistants but certified individuals will get preference. Compensation: $15 - $19 hourly
