    Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT) - Gentle Vet Animal Hospital Gentle Vet Animal Hospital has established itself in the Green Bay, WI community since 1970 As a full-service veterinary hospital. Our expert team of vets specializes in treating small animals, avians, and exotics! We see a large number of complicated dog and cat medical cases. We also service a local wildlife sanctuary and zoo. About You: Our hospital is growing at an exponential rate and we are looking to expand our team. Ideally, you will have a certification as a technician/nurse.  We think you’ll enjoy being a part of our team if you are looking to take your veterinary technician career to the next level and get direct access to work with exotic animals! Responsibilities: Working alongside a collaborative, small, and quality-focused team you will get to:  • Provide care to a wide range of animals. You work with not only dogs, cats, but also other animals like hobby farm animals to exotic animals • Review vaccination records, prepare vaccines if needed, and administer vaccines according to the vaccine protocol of Gentle Vet Animal Hospital • Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments as well as associated costs by providing a treatment plan/estimate • Maintain and use medical equipment such as autoclaves, surgical instruments, X-rays, blood system analyzers, etc. • Educate the public about diseases that can be spread from animals to humans • Assist with compassionate end-of-life discussions with clients and humane euthanasia of patients when medically and/or ethically necessary • Induce and maintain anesthesia • And, many other duties!In addition to our competitive compensation and benefits package explained below, we also offer  COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:At Gentle Vet, you’ll enjoy a healthy and active work-life balance! • Health insurance  • PTO • License reimbursement  • Safe harbor 401(k) retirement plan • Uniform allowance • Employee pet discount • Generous continuing education allowance Gentle Vet Animal Hospital welcomes all applicants regardless of race, gender, orientation, sexual identity, economic class, ability, disability, age, religious beliefs or disbelief, or status.
