SMALL LAW FIRM SEEKING AN OPERATIONS MANAGER WITH EXPERIENCE
We are looking for an Operations Manager to work directly with the Law Firm Owner to oversee the administrative and business aspects of running the firm.

ROLE OF THE OPERATIONS MANAGER
· Assists the Owner with recruitment, hiring, staffing, and general human resources operations.
· Supervises the work of the non-lawyer support staff and vendors.
· Assists with payroll and verifies work hours, leave time, overtime, and benefits for all employees.
· Oversees the Firm’s records and information storage systems (case management, contact management, personnel/payroll, document storage, etc.).
· Assists with drafting, implementing, maintaining, improving, and monitoring execution of the Firm's employment policies and procedures.
· Ensures that the Firm’s business systems and processes are fully documented in writing and are organized and available to the team.
· Performs audits and spot-checks to ensure policies and procedures are being followed and operating as intended.
· Prepares periodic status report for the Owner.
· Oversees and manages vendors to ensure they meet deadlines and deliver quality work.
· Manages office facilities and office supply inventory.
· Facilitates moving client matters forward on time. Reports to the Owner periodically.
ABOUT THE FIRM

We are looking for an Operations Manager with prior experience running a small law firm or your own division or department of a mid to large-sized law firm.
You must be able to demonstrate prior success with:
· Supervisory experience, preferably managing a staff of 5+ people;
· Employee engagement, leadership, supervision, and termination;
· Managing bookkeepers, accountants, technology services, and other vendors;
· Managing projects to ensure they are resolved successfully, on time, and on budget.
The right person for this role must:
· Be comfortable with change and encourage growth;
· Be organized, solution-oriented, and a quick learner;
· Be energetic and empathetic;
· Have keen conflict resolution skills;
· Have proficiency with Microsoft Office;
· Have 3+ years of experience in a similar role.

Prior experience in the legal field is REQUIRED. Knowledge of family law will be helpful. Candidates without family law experience will be expected to acclimate themselves quickly to ensure that cases and clients are getting the attention they need and that the staff is following the designated policies and procedures.
