(GTA) is looking for Geotechnical Field Technicians for our Orlando, Florida location. ****As a Geotechnical Field Technician, some of your daily responsibilities will include performing tests on soils, concrete, and other materials on a construction site or in one of our laboratories; observing and documenting construction activities to assure compliance with technical specifications; preparing daily field reports, test summaries and document findings to clients and managers.
    We will provide you with Personal Protective Equipment, which includes High Visibility Vest, Hard Hat, Gloves, and Safety Glasses.

    Requirements:

    • Own a Reliable Vehicle with a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
    • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
    • Work well alone and as part of a team
    • Good written and verbal communication skills; basic mathematical ability
    • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Geology, or similar degree - preferred, not required
    • Certifications in materials testing such as ACI and NICET, preferred not required

    Note: this position requires standing for extended duration and repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering. The employee must have the ability to use their hands to handle, finger or feel; to reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit, see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus. The employee will regularly lift and/or move 60 pounds; and occasionally move 80 pounds or more (such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples).
