    STAFF GEOTECHNICAL / HYDROGEOLOGICAL PROFESSIONAL

    Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking a STAFF GEOTECHNICAL / HYDROGEOLOGIST PROFESSIONAL with up to 4 years of relevant experience to join our team in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Personnel in this position will work under senior staff and may assist in higher-level tasks or project management within the Geotechnical, Construction Observation and Testing (COT) and Groundwater/Wastewater (GWW) groups as needed. 

    Hydrogeologist Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    •  Coordinate and manage soil boring drilling projects
    • Well drilling and installation management and observation
    • Coordinate and review materials and water quality laboratory testing
    • Prepare geotechnical reports, or pertinent sections thereof
    • Perform routine calculations, including settlement, bearing capacity, lateral earth pressures, slope stability, etc. under the observation of senior staff
    • Provide a variety of other observation and testing services for geotechnical and environmental development projects
    • Surface water and groundwater sampling
    • Aquifer testing
    • Hydrogeologic studies for water supply development
    • Aquifer data analysis

    You must own a reliable vehicle and have a good driving record. Working outdoors is required i.e., substantial required time in field an on job sites. Certifications are preferred, but not required. GTA will provide you with Personal Protective Equipment, which includes High Visibility Vest, Hard Hat, Gloves, and Safety Glasses.

    HYDROGEOLOGIST REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology/Hydrology, Groundwater Hydrology, or related field of study
    • Own Transportation, valid driver's license and Good Driving Record
    • Willing and able to work the hours necessary to meet the demands of the workload or to complete any assigned projects
    • NICET, WACEL, ACI and/or other certifications desired
    • Familiarity with hydraulic testing instrumentation preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
