Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer (EIT) to work on a variety of projects in our Charlotte, North Carolina office. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in geotechnical explorations and/or construction related to the following areas:

• Earthwork, foundation, and construction materials observation and testing
• Subsurface investigations including borings and test pits, reviewing exploration logs, lab results, and plans
• Calculations of bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, pavement section design, and slope stability

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS Degree in civil engineering; geotechnical concentration a plus
• PASSED THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ENGINEERING (FE) EXAM 
• geotechnical experience at an engineering or environmental firm
• Prior construction or Builders Services experience a plus
•  Excellent verbal/written communication skills
