GeoPoint Surveying, Inc. is a land surveying firm with multiple locations, specializing in land development, oil/gas, energy, geospatial mapping, commercial surveys and subsurface utility engineering.
As a Project Accountant, you'll be responsible for managing the accounts of various projects by creating detailed budgets, overseeing supplier contracts, evaluating production costs, and verifying invoice statements.
Essential Job Functions:
Analyze costs in comparison to prior year and budget
Assist in preparation of the company’s annual budget and quarterly projections
Overall project work from start to finish
Monthly reporting and finance project management
Variance and KPI analysis
Assisting with the preparation of forecasts and cashflow
Understand the monthly financial cycle and suggest changes
Serve as a liaison between PM’s and Director’s/accounting department
Work closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate client billing
Assist with month end tasks
Monitor Accounts Recievable and assist in collection efforts
Assist with cash collections by actively communicating aging risk to PM’s to determine necessary collection actions
Skills:
2-5 years of work experience in accounting and project cost
BST10 experience with job cost module
2+ years of job cost/cost accounting experience in construction industry a plus
BA/BS in accounting
Astonishing ability to write financial forecasts, project budgets as well as tax reports.
A vast amount of experience in the invoicing of projects and billable.
Deep understanding of the most effective methods of accounting.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and customer service.
