Regional Sales Engineer - Northeast

We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Engineer, who ideally resides in one of the following areas: Boston, New York City, Northern NJ, or Philadelphia, who will establish and maintain strong customer relationships and secure orders for Geokon. You will provide high class customer service and increase the company's growth and revenue through sales This is a full-time remote position. Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geology with a minimum of three years of sales and/or geotechnical experience (i.g. consulting engineer/geologist).
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
In collaboration with peers, assist customers (via incoming emails and calls) in identifying the appropriate instrumentation for their application/project. Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and current customers
Plan, organize and perform sales visits, presentations, lunch and learns, demonstrations and training
Prepares quotes by studying specifications and related customer documents, consulting with engineers and other professional and technical personnel
Provide product and technical engineering information by answering questions and requests
Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers
Receives and reviews purchase orders and contracts, submits orders via the ERP System, record and maintain customer contact data
Provide after-sales customer service and support
Participate in tradeshows, conferences, and field related committee meetings
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Other Requirements:
Geotechnical Instrumentation or sensor experience preferred
Managing and interpreting customer requirements and project applications
General knowledge of a wide range of Civil Engineering projects and terminology
Negotiating skills required
A strong technical background
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
Excellent organizational skills, discipline in keeping a schedule with the ability to adjust on the fly
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams
Understanding of the product line and technical attributes
Continual awareness of industry related competition, existing and new technologies
Comfortable presenting in front of others and fielding technical questions
Ability to travel 40-50% per year.
Valid passport preferred
Fluent English language required
Sound judgement and business sense
Ability to multi-task
Must be authorized to work in the United States
