Job Description

George F. Young, Inc., (GFY) is looking for a qualified intern to join our marketing strategy team. Our marketing department produces digital and traditional marketing to support the GFY team and initiatives.

Our passionately committed team of professionals work to turn vision into reality for our clients. The GFY team works with clients from various marketing segments like education, health care, governmental, commercial, and residential. GFY provides expertise in services like civil engineering, survey and mapping, sub-surface utility engineering, subsurface utility engineering, landscape architecture, ecology, stormwater engineering, geographic information systems and more. 

The digital marketing intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment located in St. Petersburg, Florida. The intern will be primarily focused on creating photography and videography materials for our completed projects to showcase on our website, social media, and in future RFQ requests.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in capturing photo and video pieces of GFY’s work/projects
• Assist the team in updating the proposal database with photography and videography of past projects   
• Create and edit photography and videography for different marketing channels
• Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline
• Provide support to social media efforts
• Monitor social media for trending topics to utilize on social media channels

REQUIREMENTS

• Undergraduate student in St. Petersburg area majoring in Digital Media, Marketing, or Advertising
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, etc. 
• Driven and hard-working
• Ability to take direction and multi-task
