    POSITION OVERVIEW 

    This role is part of Content Studio comprised of a team of designers, writers and media specialists that support to the various areas of Marketing & Communications to execute on Penn Mutual’s numerous field and home office corporate communications and marketing initiatives.   The Graphic Designer collaborates with the Manager, Content Studio and Senior Graphic Designers to ensure the integrity of the corporate brand, proper alignment with brand guidelines, and consist high quality of work. This includes having a working knowledge and understanding of the company, corporate brand, and company sponsorships.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Designs and manages projects from creation of initial concepts through design/layout to release of production-ready files
    • Develops images for a range of materials such as social posts, blog stories, brochures, print ads, emails, website content, video animations, and more
    • Works closely with project owners, vendors, and Senior Graphic Designers to prioritize day-to-day work and set up check points to ensure high quality control and project delivery in a timely manner
    • Collaborate with the Content Studio team, including writers, designers and video producers in the Content Studio, as well as with outside agency partners as needed on projects, ideas, designs, feedback
    • Ensures all content reflects the “voice” of Penn Mutual and follows our brand and style guidelines
    • Involved in all elements of content creation, from brainstorming to final production and deployment
    • Manage and update projects through a project management system
    • Performs other responsibilities as needed

    Required Skills

    • Has strong imagination and demonstrates high creativity
    • Demonstrates strong design/layout/production skills
    • Must be highly proficient in indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
    • Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of graphic design tools including web, workflow and content management applications
    • Extremely detail oriented & highly organized
    • Able to set priorities and works well under tight deadlines
    • Excellent communication/presentation skills
    • Works collaboratively with the entire Content Studio team and with various stakeholders across the organization
    • Curious learner; stays current with industry and design knowledge
    • Demonstrates keen interest in new techniques, design trends or software

    Required Experience

    • 5-7 years’ experience in the graphic design field
    • Experience with print and online media design and advertising
    • Intermediate to advanced digital design experience

     

    EDUCATION/LICENSES/PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS 

    • Bachelor’s degree graphic design or related field
