    ABOUT THE ROLE:

     

    Due to an internal secondment we currently have an opportunity for an experienced security leader to join the Cyber team at RAA.

     

    The Manager of Cyber Security is responsible for day-to-day security operations and management of the cyber security team. In addition, the role provides cyber security technical and risk advice, consulting, design and implementation of solutions and services to ensure that RAA’s information, data and technology are managed to an appropriate level of risk and compliance.

     

    This involves understanding risk management and regulatory compliance obligations relevant to RAA and the adoption of a holistic threat and risk-based approach to managing cyber security that incorporates best practice, modern tools and pragmatic approaches.

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide cyber security leadership, expertise, direction and support as well as risk identification, analysis and mitigation advice as part of the solution evaluation, design and development lifecycle processes;
    • Develop cyber security awareness and capability within RAA, through the effective engagement and buy-in from a broad range of stakeholders, including board members, executives and RAA management as well as project teams;
    • Oversee and monitor the implementation of technology security controls to ensure that they are current and working effectively
    • Develop, manage and collaborate with a team of technical specialists to deliver agreed levels of operational integrity and engender a continuous improvement culture;
    • Manage, review and co-ordinate the remediation of audit and risk requirements for information systems and technology infrastructure
    • Oversee vulnerability testing on systems and services, and co-ordinate remediation activities to ensure alignment with RAA cyber security strategies
    • Co-ordinate Disaster Recovery testing resources in consultation with Operational Risk
    • Managing the implementation of security upgrades and standards within information systems and technology infrastructure

     

     

       WHAT YOU NEED:  

     

    • A passion for cyber security, combined with the expertise and confidence to shape and establish the right cyber security capability for RAA;
    • A proven ability to communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels;
    • Experience in enterprise security planning & architecture design, including policy development & implementation;
    • Experience in delivering employee security awareness training
    • Experience in Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans
    • University degree in the field of computer science and 5 years relevant work experience
    • One or more of the following certifications: SABSA, CISM, ISACA Certified Information Security Manager, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Security
    • Demonstrable active participation in an industry body such as: AISA (Australian Information Security Association), ISACA, ACS (Australian Computer Society)
    • TOGAF Certification is desirable
