Shenandoah University is seeking applicants for a Security Officer position in our Department of Public Safety located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.  This is an important and demanding position requiring highly-qualified and capable candidates in order to be successful.

Security Officers at Shenandoah University work together as team members to ensure that safety and security at Shenandoah is a high priority. Individuals are expected to perform foot patrol of the university property inside and outside.  In addition, Security Officers monitor all buildings, all parking facilities, greet visitors, and ensure all policies and procedures relating to security measures are followed. 

Starting salary of $13.03 an hour.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION INCLUDE:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Attention to details is essential
• Must be reasonable, level-headed, and able to effectively manage difficult situations
• Must pass extensive background check including driving record
• Must meet physical requirements to perform essential job functions
• Must be dependable.
