    POSITION:

    We are currently seeking a full-time Civil Engineering Technician for our Rhinelander office with the capability to provide outstanding client service in the field and efficient detail work in the office. This position will be involved in topographic survey, construction staking, design, CAD drafting, and construction oversight for a variety of municipal projects including municipal water, sewer, drainage and road infrastructure projects. This is the perfect position for someone who enjoys the variety of working both in the office and in the field.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Construction inspection on a variety of municipal projects
    • Accurately design municipal engineering projects in Auto CAD
    • Create plan and profile sheets
    • Gather information for survey, topographical mapping, cross-section, horizontal and vertical control, and utility locations to be used in preparation of plans and specifications
    • Computations, reduction of field notes, filing and retrieving prints, and running prints
    • Construction Staking

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related degree required
    • 5 or more years of experience including design, construction inspection, and testing of transportation, municipal sewer, and water projects is preferred
    • Individuals with additional experience are encourage to apply
    • A valid driver’s license is required
    • Prior experience with Civil 3D preferred
    • Detail oriented and ability to multi task

  • Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:    

    The successful candidate shall possess a B.A. Degree in Human Services or related field; or a High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years community based social services experience or other related experience with vulnerable populations.

     

    Requirements include the ability to interact and communicate effectively with others.  The Residential Services Worker must be able to prepare written reports; monitor and direct program activities; and ensure the safety and security of program operations.

     

    The ability to communicate orally and in writing effectively in Spanish is preferred.
