    We are seeking a dynamic and motivated SOFTWARE APPLICATION DEPLOYMENT/SUPPORT SPECIALIST who will be responsible for providing 2nd level support to internal and external customers for MiTek Workflow. This involves assessing the users’ needs and acting appropriately to meet those needs while following up with Product Management to suggest long-term solutions. Providing this support requires a strong customer focus and an understanding of the user and usage of the Workflow System. Urgency and responsiveness are also keys to being successful. This role will also be providing production deployment responsibilities for the Workflow team.

    Required Skills

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Providing support for the engineering groups and their usage of the MiTek® software
    • Identify and analyze problems within the production Workflow environment
    • Deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting all Workflow environments including Dev, Testing, and Production
    • Is a stakeholder for automated testing requirements against Workflow and coordinates the needs with the Automated Test Product Owner
    • Deployment coordination with Workflow team for all Workflow environments
    • Scheduling of deployments and coordinating testing with all critical parties
    • Perform all deployment tasks that include manual and automated processes
    • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program functionality, output, or content
    • Install and configure lab environments to allow testing of software enhancements using virtual machines
    • Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, and to mitigate risks
    • Work within an Agile software development environment (using Scrum), participating in scrum meetings, retrospective reviews, and planning meetings
    • Ability to interact professionally with others; including co-workers, vendors and customers

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

    • Assist Product management with technical specifications for larger scaled projects
    • Assist the Quality Assurance team on test efforts as needed
    • Participate in design reviews with the development team

    Required Experience

    QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field, Engineering, or equivalent experience
    • One to five years related computer software experience

    ADDITIONAL SKILL SETS RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

    • Experience with truss or building component design

    • Experience with deployment processes and technologies

    • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies

    • Experience with VMware Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure products

    OFFICE HOURS & TRAVEL:

    Full Time, Some Travel, Monday-Friday, and some evening and weekend work for deployments

    Attendance during regular work hours and overtime as required.
