    Cambridge International Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Software Tester to join our team in Alexandria, VA to support US Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

    This project will support CPB in the continued development and sustainment of CBP applications using Agile methodologies, support transition activities of current application features, and support other functionality as needed.

     The Software Tester will:

    • Work closely with the development team and test for any defects to application or infrastructure code
    • Establish presence in all phases of  XLC to include preliminary and detailed design gate reviews
    • Develop necessary test data for testing each software unit; test data must validate system field formatting, parameter passes, and ensure event triggering is occurring as designed
    • Create custom tools using scripting languages to rapidly create test data that conforms to a wide variety of specifications
    • Develop test cases, procedures, and data to ensure modules interoperate as expected
    • Perform technical writing as required

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Associates degree and five years of experience
    • Training or experience in formal system testing, performing analysis of documented user requirements, and designing of test plans in support of user requirements
    • Must be familiar with various testing types to include Unit Testing, Integration Testing, White Box Testing, Regression Testing, Usability Testing, Security Testing, Iteration Testing, Functional Testing, and Smoke Testing
    • Experience with Agile testing approach
    • Current CBP Background Investigation or the ability to obtain one
    • Prior CBP experience preferred
