About the Role:

Join APPLIED EARTH SCIENCE as a Geotechnical Field Technician, Staff Engineer / Geologist in sunny Los Angeles, CA! This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse geotechnical projects while collaborating with a passionate team dedicated to providing innovative solutions in geoscience.

Responsibilities:

Conduct field investigations and collect soil, rock, and groundwater samples.

Perform geotechnical testing and analysis in accordance with industry standards.

Prepare detailed reports and documentation of field activities and findings.

Assist in the design and implementation of geotechnical projects.

Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to develop project plans.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in the field.

Provide technical support during construction and site development.

Participate in client meetings and communicate project updates effectively.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or related field.

1-3 years of relevant field experience in geotechnical investigations.

Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and soil mechanics.

Proficiency in using geotechnical testing equipment and software.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
