  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The Laboratory Technician is a non-exempt, hourly, full-time position that is responsible for the organization and execution of laboratory testing, analysis of testing data, distribution of data to Laboratory Manager and engineers, and assists with the maintenance of testing equipment. The Laboratory Technician performs soil and rock testing per standards and reports to Laboratory Manager and communicates with engineers on testing progress.

    Qualifications

    • Performs and ensures accurate testing of soil and rock samples.
    • Reports on testing progress and results to Laboratory Manager and engineers.
    • Always operates laboratory equipment safely and ensures the safety of other laboratory employees and visitors to the laboratory.
    • Helps maintain laboratory supplies and equipment.
    • Ensures laboratory is kept clean and in good repair.
    • Performs minor repairs on equipment.
    • Performs administrative tasks as needed.
    • Performs all other tasks as assigned by management.
    • Other duties as requested and needed.

    Additional Information

    Pay: $25–$29 per hour, depending on experience and education.

    Schedule:

    • 8 hour shift
    • Monday to Friday
    • Overtime
    • Our core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. However, candidates who have the flexibility to work altered shifts (such as 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM) or weekends are highly encouraged to apply.
