(GACC South) is a private, non-profit organization which serves as the official representative of German industry and trade in the Southern United States. Our mission is to promote and support bilateral trade between Germany and the US.

We are a young and fun team and our office is in a hip neighborhood with plenty of free parking. We are close to GA Tech and Georgia State. We have quite a few team outings (see our social media posts) and organize over 70 events a year with interesting speakers. Our interns are welcome to participate in those. And you don't have to worry about having to make coffee: we share common office/kitchen duties by rotating through all employees including our CEO.

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to assist with marketing either full-time or part-time. For this internship a creative spirit is required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will work closely with current staff and managers to support the GACC South Marketing Department in marketing and event projects with creative writing being the focus.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Create content for marketing materials including flyers, banners, and the website
• Website- update content as needed
• Newsletters- create content, prepare and schedule weekly
• Social Media: schedule posts, create content, curate images and/or articles to accompany posts
• Create internal templates for messaging and communication
• Other miscellaneous, such as research and creative projects as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completed degrees are NOT required to apply, and we will accept applicants with majors, minors or a strong background in- English, Literature, Creative Writing, or Marketing.
• Strong creative writing and content development skills, as well as strong editing and proofreading skills
• Must be flexible to taking on miscellaneous projects and needed to support our team
• Team player, open to feedback, strong communication skills, desire to learn, self-starter
• Highly organized, comfortable with managing multiple projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in WordPress and Constant Contact

START DATE: July 2020 (for 6 months)

LOCATION: Atlanta, GA, USA

COMPENSATION: Hourly; full-time preferred, strong candidates may be considered for part -time
