    Note to applicants:
    Interns in the Consulting Services department of our organization will work out of the GACC Midwest office in Chicago. As such, applicants must either currently reside in the Greater Chicago Area or be available for immediate relocation.

    Compensation: $2750/month
    Duration: 9-12 months

    What does this internship entail?

    • Support with project management, planning, and implementing both virtual & in-person business delegation programs fostering German American collaboration in industries such as renewable energy und sustainability, advanced manufacturing, automotive, agtech
    • Participate in event and conference planning and implementation for the delegations
    • Research & identification of and outreach to potential business partners in the US (sales and distribution partners, potential clients, network partners etc.) as well as coordination and facilitation of B2B meetings
    • Primary and secondary research to gather market intelligence for client companies
    • Aid in the research, writing and potential publication of market analyses
    • Support in answering initial inquiries from German companies on topics such as import and export regulations, product certification, visa regulations in the US as well as general questions on US market entry as part of the public function of the German American Chamber of Commerce

    Who are we looking for?

    • High-level proficiency in the English language as well as advanced German language skills a plus
    • Strong research and communication skills (verbal and written) with attention to detail and a strong work ethic
    • Strong understanding of fundamental business concepts
    • Strong interest in learning more about new technology and its applications and a desire to assist in promoting these new technologies in the U.S. market
    • A great interest in working with an international team and a high level of motivation to help GACC Midwest accomplish its mission
