    ABOUT THIS POSITION: 

    Geronimo Energy is seeking an intern to join its Engineering and Construction team for the summer of 2019. She or he will perform tasks essential to the Engineering and Construction team, will lead specific projects that have a real impact, and present on their experience to Geronimo leadership staff at the end of the summer. Through gaining hands-on experience, the intern will walk away with “real world experience” and a better understanding of the ins and outs of the renewable energy industry. 

    DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

    • Document Control

      • Review completeness for final acceptance  
      • Transition key documents from construction to operations

        

    • Request for Proposal – Renewable Energy Construction Projects

      • Develop RFP packages for contractors' bidding on Engineering, Procurement and Construction

        

    • Site Inspections and Reporting

      • Part of QA/QC team that develops and verifies construction scope adherence 
      • Compliance with construction details, permit & environmental conditions

       

    • Prepare Monthly Reports

      • Assist with reporting on construction progress and key milestone completion
      • Schedule updates

     

    UP FOR THE CHALLENGE? HERE ARE THE SKILLS WE REQUIRE:

    • Organization
    • Knowledge of engineering principles. 
    • Interest in wind and/or solar energy construction or engineering. 
    • Capability of working in the field, but also interested in office due diligence. 
    • College student or recent graduate with a degree in construction management, civil engineering, electrical engineering, or related field. 
    • Ability and willingness to travel to remote wind and solar energy sites.

     

    COMPENSATION 

    $15 per hour, 40 hours per week.
