    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    We are currently seeking a Land and Title Specialist within our development team to prepare site control documents such as leases, SNDAs, NDAs, consents and other related documents for execution by appropriate parties. Additionally, you will review title work to identify and resolve encumbrances and record documents with county recorders as well as perform the following duties:

    • Prepare leases and other associated documents using proper title examination
    • Work directly with Land Developers, Contracts Manager, Director of Real Estate, Land Owners, Legal Representatives of the company, other Geronimo team members and outside vendors
    • Keep current tracking worksheet for assigned projects
    • Review title documents
    • Review title reports, determine method to clear exceptions and clear them
    • Review and record legal documents with appropriate county
    • Responsible for Land Owner payment trigger for accounting
    • Work with titles, not limited to legal, vesting and encumbrances
    • Work with others to ensure there are no objections for any land acquisition for assigned projects
    • Travel to various counties to acquire copies of deeds for Land Owners within the wind farm sites
    • Coordinate land issues between assigned Project Manager and Real Estate departments

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    The qualified candidate will possess the following abilities, attributes, experience and skills:

    • 3+ years title insurance experience; examination experience preferred
    • Knowledgeable in regards to closings
    • Notary Public
    • Willing to be a team player and learn new work tools
    • High School diploma or GED; college degree a plus
    • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel software
    • Existing experience with wind projects strongly preferred
