JOB SUMMARY:

Ensure customer quality requirements for press parts to reach internal / external goals and objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure customer quality requirements for press parts to reach internal/external goals and objectives;

2. Check parts according to current checking work instructions on press lines;

3. Perform all required surface checks for press parts;

4. Check parts visually for process and material defects (e.g. splits, thinning, burrs, waviness, dents, scratches, lamination, dross);

5. In situation of suspect and/or nonconformities within the press run, notify responsible line technician or Offline Quality:

6. Initiate containment of parts for blocked stock in case of nonconformities and reporting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Minimum (2) years of experience in Manufacturing, Automotive industry preferred;

2. Minimum (2) years Class A experience preferred;

3. Minimum (1) year experience on press line preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO014001 Quality Management Systems documents;

2. PC basics;

3. Knowledge of methods for surface evaluation (sanding, stoning, highlighting of surfaces);

4. Excellent knowledge of process description for nonconforming parts and containment process;

5. Excellent communication skills.

1. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

2. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear

3. Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds

4. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time

5. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

6. The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

7. The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so other will understand

8. The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
