    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Sales Development Representative (SDR) for the Commercial Sales Team will work closely with Getac’s Inside Sales Team to increase company revenue throughout North America. The SDR will mainly focus on the prospecting, outreach, and lead qualification of named accounts in the Enterprise and Utility verticals. The SDR will contribute to Getac's overall business development and support of our business partners. SDRs build a solid understanding of the industry and sales process to spark meaningful conversations.

    THIS POSITION BALANCES

    • Strategic Lead Generation
    • Connecting with as many prospects as possible through various channels (e.g., phone calls, emails, social media, etc.)
    • Conducting individual prospect research to collect more info on each lead and understand stakeholders better
    • Results Reporting
    • Sales Skills & Outbound Calling Development on a regular basis
    • Use ZoomInfo to Engage to maximize prospecting efforts with Email, VM, Social, & Phone
    • Uploading of all qualified contacts to SFDC lead section

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead Generation – 5-6 hours per day (minimum) of outbound calling into strategic and named accounts.
    • Metric Goal: Maintain 30-40 touches per day, 3-4 sales qualified leads,1 demo opportunity, and at least 1 onsite appointment for RSM’s per week.
    • Lead Writeups - Detail qty, budget, authority, specs, timeline, point of contact, and pass to area lead ISR & RSM.
    • Customer Retention – Following up with current customers to determine refresh cycle.
    • Marketing Campaign Follow-up – Work with Marketing on Lead Gen Campaigns.
    • Monitor Pipeline - Monitor Pipeline, in vertical, to maintain 3x pipeline to quota, 2x in a 90-day period.
    • Lead Generation Report – Weekly Reporting, highlighting success and challenges from the week.
    • Attend Weekly Meetings - Attend weekly meetings with Inside Team members.

    METRICS:

    CALLS MADE & OUTCOME:The SDR is required to select a “call outcome” from a drop-down menu in engage. A report will be made of all calls made within a specific timeframe and organized by the outcome.

    EMAILS SENT & OUTCOME:Report of all emails sent within a specific timeframe and organize it by opens, clicks, and replies.  A report will be made of Meetings or Demo’s Scheduled by SDR from email.

    MEETINGS SCHEDULED & OUTCOME:Every SDR must be responsible for logging meetings in SFDC. SDRs follow up with ISR/RSM to update those meetings with their outcome.  (no-show, SAO, Disqualified, etc.).

    DEMO'S SCHEDULED & OUTCOME:We’ll Track this metric with the Sales Reps and SA. “Lead Owner” must mark demo's that they conduct as “Demo Scheduled by SDR.” in SFDC

    SALES ACCEPTED OPPORTUNITIES: ISR/RSM must mark meetings, demos, or SDR Qualified Lead in SFDC form as “sales accepted”.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Requires up to 2 years of sales prospecting
    • Ability to multi-task projects and escalates issues in a timely manner
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Prior industry knowledge on rugged computer products and hardware/software vendors by industry verticals preferred
    • Proven success communicating and collaborating with both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Experience with cold calling, lead generation and qualifying potential clients
    • Excellent verbal and written skills are needed
    • Strong pro-active initiative to learn about new product releases and improving personal sales recruitment skills
    • Familiar with internal sales distribution, forecasting systems and contracts management processes are preferred
    • Prior experience in a position that interfaces with internal company business units
    • HQ business units and 3rd party business partners is desired
