4 Point Consulting is partnering with Getaround to recruit a Manager, Trust & Safety in San Francisco.
The Safety team has the important role of keeping renters, cars, and Getaround safe. As the manager of this team, you will have a unique opportunity to tackle challenging problems that include reducing payment risk and chargebacks, reducing identify fraud, developing policies and processes to improve user quality, and assisting car owners when they experience safety incidents. You’ll also be partnering with other departments including Customer Happiness, Claims, and Product/Engineering to create . The ideal candidate has a mix of strong leadership skills, strong analytical and skills, and is interested in driving the future of mobility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (AKA “WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING”)
Lead a team of Safety Associates/Specialists and Analysts that are based in San Francisco and in the Philippines, providing both direction and driving accountability
Manage the day-to-day operations of Getaround’s Safety operations that includes renter account verifications, payment disputes chargebacks, negative customer feedback, resolving physical incidents such as car break-in's, and actioning fraudulent users
Develop strategies and priorities to reduce fraud and risk while improving customer experience
Identify, recommend, and implement key tools and systems that are needed to reduce fraud and risk
Identify, develop, and implement key policies and process to reduce fraud to reduce fraud and risk, and improve renter and car owner experience
Partner cross-functionally with Product/Engineering, Customer Happiness, Claims teams, and Legal teams to improve policies and streamline processes
Set clear departmental objectives and define supporting initiatives and KPIs to meet those objectives
Report key metrics, trends, and priorities to key stakeholders on a regular basis
Proactively identify opportunities and provide analysis to reduce risk and fraud, as well as the physical safety of cars and renters
Be the main expert on all things safety related at Getaround
QUALIFICATIONS (AKA “SKILLS”)
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ management and leadership experience including responsibility for hiring, career development, promotions, and terminations
4+ years experience with methods and procedures to prevent, reduce, and combat payment and identity fraud
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences that range from executives to customer service representatives
Ability to partner cross-functionally to solve complex business problems
Strong project management skills and ability to meet aggressive deadlines; bias towards action
Strong analytical skills; proficiency with Google Sheet and/or Microsoft Excel
Strong prioritization skills, especially in an environment that is fast moving
Proficiency designing processes, creating , etc.
Ability to identify key metrics and manage to those metrics
Experience with marketplace, e-commerce, etc not required but a strong plus
ADDITIONAL AWESOMENESS
Experience with fraud prevention/detection tools such as Sift Science, Stripe Radar, etc.
Knowledge of Zendesk and/or other CRM systems
Experience with law enforcement a plus
