Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time STRATEGIC FINANCE MANAGER (REMOTE) interested in joining a high-growth stage startup. The mandate of the Finance Manager is simple but challenging: help build out our financial operations.

The Strategic Finance Manager will take the lead on building out our internal finance and accounting systems. We’re looking for someone with years of experience as an accountant, preferably at a services company. Among other things, you will be responsible for designing and scaling all finance-related operations, including: month-end close, revenue recognition, A/R and A/P processes, financial reporting, and forecasting.

Above all, we are seeking candidates who are self-starters and are resourceful, organized, detail-oriented, communicative, and friendly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined accounting and finance experience
• BA/BS degree from a top institution, CPA, CMA, MBA or BA in Finance, Accounting, or Data Analysis is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience scaling finance operations
• Phenomenal people skills and experience in hiring, training, coaching, and managing employees
• Experience at a startup Series A or earlier
• Mastery of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
• Manage all finance-related operations, including: month-end close, revenue recognition, A/R, A/P, financial reporting and forecasting
• Oversee reporting for key finance-related KPIs, including: MRR, burn rate, and runway
• Build and manage a team of amazing individuals including coaching, training, and career progression support
• Develop systems to scale our finance team’s operations
• Develop policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
