    What a AR Specialist’ day could look like:

    Work closely with the project management team to confirm billings and subcontractor payments are entered/posted into accounting system according to month end close schedule

    A keen focus on all collections, provide critical AR data to management, and assist with weekly cash flow forecast for Management

    Seek, manage, track, and report on a high volume of AR information that is ever evolving and sometimes changing daily

    Develop necessary reports and analysis for effective project cost management with the PM team.

    Establish A/R contract set-up and processing of project billings

    Closely monitor accounts receivable on 20-30 projects in coordination with PM; send reminders and make collection calls as necessary

    Produce monthly billing packages that vary by project

    Process daily cash receipts

    Ensure subcontractor compliance prior to processing payment

    Communicate with all levels of team members, and elevate matter appropriately to management according to specific billing SOP guidelines is essential.

    A candidate that is trustworthy, makes good decisions and can work in a fast-paced environment will be a great fit. With strong communication, ability to follow laid out operating procedures, and great computer skills (Excel: Pivot Tables and Charts/ Formulas, MSWord: Professional Documentation/ Proficient Writing Skills) you will succeed in this role. If you enjoy fine details and numbers, and are organized, consistent, accountable, able to prioritize, punctual and dependable the opportunity to join a great team awaits.

    Construction industry knowledge a major plus, and a degree in accounting/finance or 5 years related experience preferred. Knowledgeable of general accounting principles required. We use a construction accounting software called SAGE, although experience in SAGE is not required (Sage 300 CRE, Sage Paperless, and HCSS software).

    This position is non-exempt, hourly. We offer competitive pay along with an extensive benefits package. Salary is DOE, and experience in construction accounting.
