Our Co-Founders:

Founder, CEO Dr. Adrian Kaehler has a long history of innovation: he has been an inventor on many patents, as well as the author of numerous technical papers and articles in a variety of subjects ranging from particle physics to biometrics to architecture to robotics. He has led projects in a wide variety of technical domains including commercial, industrial, and military and ranging in scope from boutique to global scale mass production, on land, in the air, in space, and under the oceans.

Co-Founder Dr. Chris Cianci holds undergraduate degrees in Physics (Occidental College, 2001) and Electrical Engineering (Caltech, 2003), and completed his doctorate on Distributed Robotics at L'Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne in Switzerland (2009). He has done extensive work in robotic autonomy, ranging from autonomous vehicles to one of the first consumer autonomous home vacuum cleaners, shipping millions of units worldwide. When forced to drive himself (because the self-driving cars aren't quite ready yet), he can often be found traveling in a 1974 MGB that he is in the process of restoring himself.

Why we are looking for someone like you:

Giant.AI is looking for the best electromechanical technicians in the business. We are building amazing and complicated machines with many parts and need your expertise to help us reach our goals. You'll be an integral part of a bright team that is bringing new and exciting technologies to the world.

What You'll Do:

•  Assemble robots and other precision assemblies with many threaded fasteners, lots of electrical crimping,  very small parts, and tight mechanical tolerances

• Make subassemblies that require precision measurements and fit tests

• Crimp and test electrical connectors and components

• Integrate and test assembled systems

• Log measurements and test results according to production procedures

• Help develop production and testing procedures and contribute to production floor design and setup

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 5 years of hands-on production experience of electromechanical systems, such as aerospace wiring/cable assemblies, medical devices, military systems, etc.
• Excellent hands for small screws, small electrical connectors, etc.
• Superior electrical connector crimping skills
• Organized, consistent, and detail-oriented - assemblies will need to be identical and perfect
• Flexible, able to work independently, and able to learn new procedures quickly with minimal instruction
• Excellent communication skills to train engineers and other production staff on new procedures

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Able to advise on efficient production tools, procedures, and production shop floor design and integration
• Experience with automated production test design and setup
• Experience with servomotors, cable-driven assemblies, bearings, and cameras
