GigSmart is a mobile technology start-up that is close to completing our development phase and preparing to launch the organization's go-to-market strategy. We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our marketing department and provide creative ideas to help achieve our mobile app adoption goals.

As a marketing intern, you will work very closely with GigSmart's President driving the adoption of our mobile technology across multiple constituencies: Individuals, businesses, and charities. From creative input to onsite promotions and sponsorships, to managing business and charity accounts, this role will give you broad exposure and experience in marketing and business development skills in a tech start-up environment. Your contribution will help develop, maintain and expand our marketing channels. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

 MARKETING INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in collecting quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
• Performing market analysis and research on competition
• Supporting the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
• Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail, sponsorships, and web)
• Prepare promotional presentations
• Help distribute marketing materials
• Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
• Help organize marketing events

Requirements

• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
• Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Experience using design software including Sketch and Photoshop
• Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Adwords)
• Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
• Current enrollment in a related BS or Master's degree
