    Job Description

    The Account Manager plays a key role at Gigasavvy, interfacing and integrating with the agencys clients. This position is summarized into three main categories: Client services, strategic account planning, and account development.

    By partnering with the Account Director and various other department heads, the Account Manager is responsible for successfully onboarding new clients and invests themselves in the clients brand to become an ambassador for them within the agency structure. The Account Manager is also charged with aligning the clients business needs with the overall account strategy, working with account teams to deliver solutions that meet (and surpass) the clients goals and objectives.

    The Account Manager is the epitome of a collaborator. This individual has an in-depth understanding of the agencys values and the clients goals and can confidently act as a face of the agency. They genuinely enjoy diving into their clients industries and being able to articulate their vision and goals to the team in ways the client cant. In addition to acting as an in-house ambassador for their clients, the Account Manager places a high value on team stewardship and enjoys spending time with subject matter experts across the agency. The Account Manager is an active contributor to all initiatives and demonstrates a thorough understanding of the account strategy at all times.

    Clients always feel as if the Account Manager is an extension of their team, ensuring that deliverables meet expectations and requests are understood. The Account Manager demonstrates an understanding of the balance between client advocacy and internal partnerships, clearly articulating needs and setting global expectations. This individual appreciates the human element of client relationships, is comfortable meeting daily with clients in group and individual settings and knows how to best communicate with their client points of contact.

    A DAY IN THE LIFE

    • Grab your coffee and pow-pow virtually with the Production Manager to ensure there is alignment on the days priorities.
    • Collaborate with the internal team on internal reviews, revisions, client feedback, answers to questions, project kick-off meetings, etc.
    • Plan and prepare for a new project kick-off meeting all before lunchtime.
    • Collaborate with internal team members via Google documents on a creative brief.
    • Check-in on your favorite Slack channel to see what your team says about the latest episode of your favorite show.
    • Lead a weekly client status meeting.
    • Take your production meeting on the phone instead of Zoom so you can take a walk around your block while eating your mid-day snack.
    • Wrap up the day by checking in with team members on upcoming deliverables and logging your time for the day.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Account Managers daily responsibilities include the following:

    Client Services

    • Clearly communicate expectations to the client and the internal team on all projects
    • Performing thorough quality assurance on all deliverables prior to them being delivered to the client
    • Attending all client meetings, providing clear action items, and relaying critical information to the team
    • Become a trusted extension of the client team by demonstrating value as an expert in their business and industry
    • Manage client budgets and reporting

    Account Planning & Client Advocacy

    • Maintaining shared planning documents, trafficking assets internally and externally, and actively contributing to project workflows as requested
    • Develop briefs to support creative, projects, and client insights
    • Clearly set goals for projects based on client business goals
    • Participate in planning sessions, brainstorms, and other team conversations to represent the clients voice
    • Ensure all agency activity aligns with stated business goals and established strategies.

    Account Growth & Budget

    • Owns account growth and client investment planning
    • Recommending opportunities for growth based on client business needs and industry insights.
    • Working with Account Director and department heads to develop contracts and change orders and new projects
    • Responsible for client profitability

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of total agency work experience in account management
    • Must have a demonstrated understanding of cross-channel marketing efforts to include website design and development, traditional and digital paid media, social media, video and photo production, email marketing, and strategic planning and oversight of campaigns.
    • Exceptionally strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills, confident working with and presenting to clients
    • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask
    • Ability to stay calm and collected under pressure, focusing on meeting deadlines and solving challenges
    • Bachelors degree (BA or BS) in related field required including; Communications, Advertising or Marketing
    • Capable of planning and executing responsibilities with minimal direction
    • Proficient with Pages, Keynote, Google Docs, and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Strong and effective decision-making skills with demonstrated understanding of when to bring in leadership
    • Proven ability to effectively work in a team environment
