    Position SummaryWorking under the direction of the Chief Development Officer, the Development Coordinator plays a key and integral role in the success of Gateway Council’s fund development efforts. The Development Coordinator is responsible for database management, donor recognition, and stewardship, grant tracking, cultivation events, the lead for the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council Alum association, and other related development activities. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated person that is ready to support the goals of the fund development team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Enters all gifts into the donor database, Bloomerang, ensuring the information is accurate • Sends thank you letters and tax receipts to donors within 48 hours and regularly updates standard stewardship letters • Prepares and shares routine and custom donor reports with the development team • Conducts prospect management under the direction of the development team and CDO • Writes and executes appeals and stewardship mailings • Maintain calendar and tracking of grants for applications and reports, working with the CDO and Director of Grant Initiatives to ensure timely submissions • Keeps organized digital and paper files, and accurately tracks information related to funders while using the donor database to store information • Plans and executes cultivation/stewardship events including but not limited to major donor celebrations, alum events, and Girl Scout cookie cultivation events • Leads the organization's alum association efforts including recruiting volunteers to help plan engagement activities throughout the year • Track of event finances including sponsorships, invoices, and donations while utilizing the donor database • Provides support to special event efforts including, but not limited to, silent auctions through mailings and solicitations • In partnership with the Director of Product and Retail fulfills and ships retail orders on a regular schedule • Ensures Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scouts message of pluralism and diversity to members of the council• Interprets the Girl Scout Leadership Experience philosophy and the Council’s policies, procedures, and standards • Other duties as assigned Education, Experience and Other Requirements • Bachelor’s degree preferred. • 2+ years prior experience in nonprofits or database management. • Knowledge and acceptance of beliefs and principles of the Girl Scout movement; willing to register as a member of Girl Scouts of the USA. • Valid Florida driver’s license, vehicle in working condition, proof of insurance, or the ability to fulfill timely and extensive travel requirements across widespread regional geography. • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
