    Girl Scouts of Gateway Council is currently seeking part-time Community Development Troop Facilitators based in Jacksonville, FL.

    This Community Development Troop Facilitator will serve to develop and facilitate our Girl Scout programs within underserved communities to mentor girls between the ages of 5 to 18. This is a high-impact support position responsible for the development and facilitation of Girl Scout Community Development Programs within assigned communities. This position is unique in that it will have a direct impact on the communities and girls at-risk through a mentorship program and establishing a Girl Scouts presence in the community.

    In addition, this position is responsible for:

    Collaborate with the Director of Grant Initiatives and Community Development Specialist to design and deliver Girl Scout badge work, activities, events, and address issues or concerns.

    Partner with program site and school guidance counselors to refer girls most in need of the program and recruit girls at each location to join Girl Scouts.

    Plan, prepare and conduct weekly, bi-weekly or monthly program sessions for Girl Scout members based on the program and Girl Scout badge curriculum.

    Prepare reports and evaluations as required; maintain accurate records of participation; deliver pre- and post-surveys to all participants, parents and partners.

    Foster and preserve positive relationships with girls, school administrators, parents or custodial adults of the girls, mentors and other partner organizations.

    Assist Girl Scout Troop with sales including but not limited to the Girl Scout Cookie Program.

    Represents Girl Scouts USA leadership in the community.

    Desired skills and experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Experience working with at-risk communities.

    Commitment to helping and mentoring youth.

    Excellent organization and time management skills.

    Ability to clear a Florida Department of Law Enforcement Level 2 Background screening.

    Excellent organization and time management skills.

    Experience in record keeping and organizational skills.

    Demonstrated ability in varying computer skills, Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media applications

    Preferred prior Girl Scout experience
