    Girl Scouts of Gateway Council, Inc. is a non-profit organization serving girls across 35 counties in North Florida. We have openings for part-time Community Development Troop Leader positions in Duval County (Beaches & Southside locations), Escambia County (Downtown & Northcentral), and St. Johns County (St. Augustine). Staff must have availability Monday through Friday evenings, 2:00pm – 8:00pm and some weekends based on program needs. The purpose of this role is to develop and facilitate our Girl Scout programs within at-risk communities to mentor girls between the ages of 5 to 18. Previous Girl Scout, teaching and/or working with at-risk communities required. Data entry experience is preferred.

    Community Development Troop Facilitator- Get REAL program

    The purpose of this role is to develop and facilitate our Girl Scout Community Development Programs within assigned communities. Must be proficient in varying computer skills (i.e. scanning, organizing, and accessing documents from a shared drive) Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive, Excel, PowerPoint, and other social media applications. Must be willing to learn new programs and have a good understanding of data entry, attention to detail and must be a Team Player. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    · Collaborate with the Manager of Outreach Programs to design and deliver Girl Scout badge work, activities, events, and address issues or concerns that arise with partners, guardians, or the community.

    · Partner with program site and school guidance counselors to refer girls most in need of the program and recruit girls at each location to join Girl Scouts.

    · Plan, prepare, and conduct weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly program sessions for Girl Scout members based on the program and Girl Scout badge curriculum.

    · Prepare reports and evaluations as required; maintain accurate records of participation (including rosters, attendance tracker, registration forms, and curriculum/badge completion); deliver pre-and post-surveys to all participants, parents, and partners.

    · Attend required training, events, and meetings as necessary for successful program leadership.Education, Experience, and Other Requirements

    · High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. (Education; Social Work; Family, Youth and Community Sciences; Public Health; or similar degrees)

    · Prior Girl Scout experience preferred.

    · Experience working with at-risk communities preferred.

    · Excellent organization and time management skills.

    · Physical ability to frequently stop, kneel, bend, crouch, reach overhead, grasp, push, pull, lift, and move objects up to 20 pounds at shoulder height, and occasionally lift in excess of 20 pounds.
