Position Summary: The Digital Marketing & Creative Strategist helps guide the direction of the council’s digital marketing, graphic design, and content strategy. Leading the Marketing and Communication Coordinator and reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations while utilizing the Girl Scout Brand, this position assists with the development of the overall digital marketing and content strategy for internal and external stakeholders and increases brand awareness and visibility through creative promotional campaigns. The position also works in partnership with other operational and organizational functions to support the organizational mission, goals, and strategic priorities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Assists the Sr. VP of Operations with planning, developing, and managing the implementation of effective promotional campaigns that support organizational initiatives

    Directs graphic design for the council, including content creation and design of all marketing collateral pieces - print and digital.

    creates and manages all e-marketing communications and campaigns.

    Works with the Sr. VP of Operations to plan and implement advertising campaigns, including online, print, and multi-media.

    Works with Girl Scout volunteers, community organizations, and GSGC staff to acquire and distribute stories digitally of what is happening locally and council-wide. • Fully understands the brand voice, brand guidelines, and mission of Girl Scouts and ensures internal and external branding quality and consistency with GSUSA. • Collaborates with other departments to provide guidance for brand awareness.

    Works closely with all Gateway Council departments to advance departmental.

    Ensures Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scouts message of pluralism and diversity to members of the council.

    Education, Experience and Other Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications and/or Marketing required. • Minimum 3+ years of marketing, communications, public relations, or journalism experience required.

    Excellent communication skills; clear and effective written and verbal communicator.

    Exceptional writing skills; ability to create compelling and creative content for different audiences.

    Social media savvy, with active personal accounts. Experience with management of business accounts and social media advertising a plus. Graphic design experience and understanding to ensure all marketing visual aid elements flow seamlessly.

    Fluent in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop; proficient in Microsoft Office.

    Able to work flexible hours to include days, frequent evenings, and weekends.

    Valid Florida driver’s license, vehicle in operating condition, satisfactory driving record with proof of insurance to travel within the assigned geographic area.

    Ability to clear a Florida Department of Law Enforcement Level 2 Background screening.
