We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join our legal team.
Estate Planning Attorney responsibilities
- Communicate with clients about plans for dispersing their assets
- Prepare wills, trusts, and power of attorney documents
- Provide clients with information about retirement plans, charitable contributions, and insurance choices
- Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation, and forming a strategy for a plan of action
- Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
- Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
- Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date
Estate Planning Attorney qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required
- Experience at a legal firm working on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 3-4 years is required
- Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
- Working knowledge of title insurance, wills, trusts, property management, and residential and commercial real estate law, including litigation
- Excellent communication skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
