GCG is looking to hire a supply chain specialist to meet the needs of its growing client base. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST

• Search for, screen potential contract manufacturers
• Determine material requirements based on sales projections and production schedules
• Prepare, review, process and place purchase orders as directed
• Set up freight and track shipments
• Monitor open orders and follow up with suppliers and carriers to ensure on time delivery
• Investigate discrepancies with all orders to resolve delivery and invoicing issues
• Ensure all purchase order confirmations are received and logged accurately
• Track and maintain inventory
• Maintain supplier and ingredient document files
•  Interact with various departments including Shipping & Receiving, Sales, Accounting, and Customer Service.
• Work hand in hand with clients to provide the assistance and information they require in a positive and timely fashion.
• Perform administrative functions as required

REQUIREMENTS

• College degree in Supply Chain Management preferred or
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory demand and/or supply planning.
• Extremely proficient in MS Excel.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers and vendors.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects with exceptional attention to detail.
• Able to work independently with a sense of urgency
• Able to successfully navigate ambiguity to resolve clients’ challenges
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
