The Glass Law Group is a workers’ compensation law firm seeking an experienced Legal Assistant/Legal Clerk with a solid work ethic for our Woodland Hills OR our Lancaster office. The firm is willing to train a qualified and reliable individual.

A successful legal secretary within our firm should possess the following qualities:

· Bilingual in English and Spanish

· Well-organized, detail oriented and hard-working;

· Ability to effectively multi-task;

· Strong verbal and written communication;

· Reliable

· Complete tasks on a timely basis

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and familiarity with case management systems

Responsibilities:

· Provide administrative and clerical support to one or more attorneys

· Utilize case management software on computer to type, review and send legal correspondence

· Use phones and email to correspond to clients

· Utilize computer software to complete the various tasks for cases

· Preparation and filing of court documents

· Schedule multiple types of appointments including: doctor depositions, client interviews, doctor appointments etc.

· Open new files and enter into case management system

Schedule:

Office Hours: 8am to 5pm; Monday to Friday

Experience:

High School Diploma or GED

Legal experience is a plus but not necessary

Physical Job Requirements: Position requires sitting for up to 6 hours per day while keyboarding and physical activity including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, repetitive motions and lifting of up to 25 pounds.

The law firm, Glass Law Group Inc., specializes in workers' compensation matters. We assist clients obtain their workers' compensation benefits. This is a small boutique law firm that is very busy. Applicants interested in this position must be bilingual in Spanish and English
