Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled Glass Manufacturing Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Cast Tempering. The Glass Manufacturing Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our glass manufacturing and tempering equipment, with a primary focus on all glass edge and hand fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the glass drill and other machinery as needed.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery, including mechanical and electrical components.
• Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty parts to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
• Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in machinery technology to enhance operational efficiency.
• Keep shop functioning on electrical, air lines or any small shop related issues.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a machinery mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals and blueprints.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed.
