    HR Assistant/Payroll Specialist Glencoe Management 5 reviews - Las Vegas, NV 89117 Job Overview We are actively recruiting for a full-time Human Resources Assistant whose primary responsibilities will be to process and manage the companys payroll. In addition to these duties, the HR Assistant will handle a variety of personnel and company related administrative job tasks. You will support the daily activities of the Human Resources department and assist in coordinating policies, processes, and relevant documents. An ideal candidate for the Human Resources Assistant position has 2 to 5 years experience in HR, including payroll processing, and will be able to assist in more complex HR duties. Job Duties * Provides clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Manager. * Verifies payroll amount(s) pulled from various data points incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc. with assistance of a computer system. * Assists with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties. * Conducts HCM and Payroll data entry and personnel file maintenance both electronically and physically. * Processes payroll, and payment of employee benefits and garnishments. * Maintains spreadsheets to ensure the accuracy of the information. * Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment. * Addresses issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors. * Assists manager with various HR projects. * Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. * Maintains quality service by following organizational standards. * Assists with benefits administration. * Assists with the implementation of personnel policies and procedures. * Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. * Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. * Creates and modifies company documents, presentations, and policies. * Conducts various internal verification audits. Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent required. * 2 or more years of experience processing payroll. * 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources. * Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy in work. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). * Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) is a plus. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization. * Must be highly organized. * Customer service oriented. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work on multiple assignments and manage time effectively. * Demonstrated ability to take initiative, ask questions, and prioritize. * Capable of working independently as required. Working Conditions and Physical Demands * This position is in a typical office environment and requires sitting or standing for long periods of time. * Lifting and/or moving items up to 25 pounds may be required periodically.
