GliaCell is currently seeking a SOFTWARE ENGINEER for a role on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.

LOCATION: Annapolis Junction, MD

REQUIREMENTS:

• 0-6 years of Software Engineering experience and a BS Degree in Computer Science (or related)
• GUI development experience, e.g. Angular is a plus
• Prefer a combination of backend and front end experiences
• Java development
• Unix/Linux/Centos experience – minimum 2 years
• Database experience NoSQL and/or SQL
• Experience working flexibly in medium teams using various lifecycle models
• Experience in creating SW design documentation, workflows and mapping to SW
• Development of broad coverage unit testing
• Knowledge of tools: GIt, Jenkins, Maven, Jira, Spring, JMeter, Junit, Jersey, Jackson JSON, Angular, REST, scripting languages
• Scripting

DESIRED:

• Spring Boot
• Familiarity with working in MASH environment
• Experience in text-based database applications / user interfaces
• Experience addressing system performance and stability
• Experience in agency Compliance systems constraints
