Incorporated in 1993, Global Care Medical Group, IPA Inc (GC) is a strategically savvy, multi-specialty Independent Physician Association (IPA), which covers a broad geographic area of Southern California, particularly in Los Angeles County, and is continually expanding. Affiliated with top rated primary care physicians, specialty providers, and premium in network hospitals. Global Care Medical Group IPA is systematically organized by the experienced MedPOINT Management team, and currently has over 90,000 patients in network. With approximately 500 Primary Care Providers and 2,000 Specialty Providers, GC is a full-service network with provider agreements in place for all lines of care programs, i.e. Commercial (EPO, PPO, Covered California), Point of Service (POS) Seniors (Medicare Advantage, Cal Mediconnect), Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, and Access for Infants and Mothers (AIM).

INSURANCE OUTREACH SPECIALIST

●      JOB SUMMARY:  The enrollment coordinator will be assigned a list with the task of contacting patients eligible for Medicare. You will be expected to call patients and establish if they have or are eligible for Medicare part A and B. If the patient has Medicare part A and B educate them about the benefits, that they are eligible to receive by joining a health plan partnered with Global Care Medical Group. Patients interested should be booked for appointment with our health insurance broker. Appointments will take place at the office or patients’ home. The enrollment coordinator should be prepared to accompany Chisolu during appointments with patients. Global Care Medical Group also expects enrollment coordinators to be present during health fair events, to help promote enrollment and other services offered from the IPA.

●      GOAL: Find leads and help patients signed up with health plans under Global Care Medical Group.

●      NOTE: All enrollment coordinators are required to honor HIPPA confidentiality policies. It is also important to follow up with patients that do not answer, seem interested in services, and those that cannot speak at the current time that the call was made. Make notes or comments based on information gathered from a call. This will help to keep track of patients and the health services they need.

●      QUALITIES: Enrollment specialists are expected to have great communication, organization, and record keeping skills. An ability to remain calm and poised in stressful situations regardless of the patient’s emotional temperament is also necessary.
