    Job Description

    DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for assisting the Assistant Project Manager and/or Project Manager in the oversight and management of assigned buildings within contract award. This position is responsible for safely overseeing and performing duties as detailed in the PWS or other contracted services. Quality customer service is expected to be provided to the customer at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Two (2) years experience in large volume food service operations, cafeteria style of multi-entr e services required.  Military food service in the pay grade of E-7 or above may be substituted.
    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract.
    • Understand oral and/or written instructions and speak and write English fluently.
    • Must have intermediate level computer skills and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications. Interact appropriately with customers, government personnel and staff members.
    • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
    • Must rotate workweek hours to ensure observation of all shifts on a weekly basis.

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    The incumbent in this position will be responsible for:

    • Ensure training for assigned employees in all aspects of their position.
    • Monitor and keep notes regarding progress of individuals towards meeting job requirements.
    • Oversee assigned building functions ensuring compliance with all TB-MED 530 regulations.
    • Order and keep a running inventory of janitorial supplies, chemical cleaning supplies, personal protective equipment and single use disposable paper products for use in Military Dining Facilities on Joint Base Lewis McChord.
    • Control a sub-storage closet within each Dining Facility of Chemical Cleaning supplies for inventory organizations, tracking and security.
    • Act as main point of contact for all Joint Base Lewis McCord procurement activity, and maintain a financial and inventory tracking system for all supplies ordered.
    • Ensure compliance with all GCE rules and requirements, and all employee and  work related information is handled in a confidential manner.
    • Perform quality inspections in the Tams system, as needed.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, and frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to be on his/her feet for extended periods of time. The employee frequently must squat, stoop or kneel, reach above the head and reach forward.
    • This job will require lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs, and may require occasional lifting and or moving up to 30 pounds.
    • There will be exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures and the noise level at the workplace is usually moderate.  
    • Most work will take place indoors. Will work with cleaning chemicals.
    • Will be required to follow Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. 
    • Schedules are subject to change. Will require working early morning, mid morning, afternoon and/or evening hours as well weekends and Holidays.

    The salary range for this position will be $41,847 - $47,502 per year.
