Construction Administrative Assistant
Job Description
Global Engineering & Construction, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate for project related Administrative Assistant. The candidate shall have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and shall 3-5 years’ experience working in the engineering/construction industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A CPP - Certified Payroll Professional certification is a plus. The individual must be self-motivated, of good character maintaining confidentiality of project documentation and discussions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sets up and maintains electronic data management system.
Check and edit incoming documents and prepare for distribution
Ensures distribution of engineering and construction packages are being distributed accurately and in a timely manner.
Follows up with engineering and construction as required to confirm status and/or completion dates of deliverables.
Proficient in maintaining and processing construction submittals.
Collect, retain, retrieve, distribute, and transmit project documents, including communications and transmittals, engineering drawings, and construction documents.
Assist the Construction and Design departments in all phases of the Project Closeout process.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Strong oral and written communications skills
Ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time.
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to set and meet deadlines.
Ability to be organized, accurate, and timely.
Excellent computer systems skills
Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating a consistent commitment and ability to work with diverse work groups and individuals.
