Job Description

Global Financial Data is looking for a paralegal to oversee our contracts. We license financial data and need someone to both respond to our customers’ contractual changes and helping to enforce the terms of the license. This includes reviewing contracts and licenses and responding to customers’ counsel both via e-mail and via phone and zoom. You will need to determine whether our customers are abiding by the terms of the license and helping to enforce the terms of the license. Because we provide intellectual property, the enforcement of our contracts is essential to the company.

A familiarity with financial data and the products that financial companies provide is beneficial. FISD Professional certification is a plus. Compiling information on the company we are licensing data to in order to predict and verify usage is essential. Good writing skills are required. Contract negotiation will be an important part of your job. You will play an important role in the growth of the company.

• Vast knowledge of intellectual property rights
• Ability to follow direction and procedures
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prioritize workload and assignments
• 2-3 years of experience as a Paralegal or a similar position
• Strong research skills with high attention to detail
• Experience in writing/preparing a variety of legal documents.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
• Excellent organizational skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines.
