POSITION DESCRIPTION: Calling all agile software development superheroes that seek a challenge to grow and work alongside a dynamic team on the delivery of secure, native-cloud software and microservices for the U.S. Army Future's Command in downtown Austin, Texas. Candidates must meet IAM-III requirements as specified in DoD 8570.01-M.  

Our work makes an impact on U.S. national security to protect the freedoms we enjoy. We are currently seeking a Software Architect to help Futures Command deliver software and data for advanced decision making and cyber capabilities to the soldier.  

In this role, you will spearhead all software development activities for the organization, provides oversight and direction to multiple software development teams. Experience guiding organizational software development culture change from legacy waterfall development to modern Agile/DevSecOps practices is essential. You will also research, review, and recommend emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices for adoption by the organization.   

You must be comfortable in solution ideation, co-creation, and providing guidance at the platform and application levels. This may also include interaction with senior policy directors at the Department and Service level as needed.
