    Job Description

    PROJECT MANAGER, ENGINEERING 

    Assist in management of multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. Evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. Lead engineering projects; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; identify and resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Manage ongoing relationships with external contractors so that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. As a Project Manager, your primary goal is to ensure that the projects in our portfolio deliver on-time and on-budget. You will also play a major role in helping to coordinate project management activities across our multiple sites around the world. Whether running project meetings, managing schedules, or developing strategic plans for new programs, you will be focused on ensuring that we deliver the products that support our corporate mission to make healthcare better. For this position, we are looking for an experienced engineering Project Manager having a solid track record of executing various projects in an operations environment.

     

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIEs: Develop and maintain project plans for the complete program using Microsoft Project Online Create and maintain other program documentation (e.g. charter, road map/pipeline, benefits map, design documentation, etc.) to meet business goals and program objectives Track and forecast project performance with respect to timeline and budget Manage tactical execution of the project team with a focus on managing project risk and elevating key project dependencies Coordinate with other project managers across our site to ensure accurate tracking of all inter-project dependencies Assess trade-offs associated with changes to project scope, schedule, and cost Develop mitigation strategies when the inevitable changes to delivery timelines occur Develop and maintain project status tracking and reporting tools Report project status to senior management Coordinate with functional managers to foresee/understand critical project activities and to enable them to manage team resources and tasks to avoid critical path slippage Improve team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, influencing, training, mentoring, and motivating, in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure efficiency, and boost morale What you need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related discipline required 4+ years related work experience required, of which, 2+ years of project management highly preferred Experience with managing capital project, writing capital expenditure requests & vendor management -preferred FDA experience in class III medical device, pharmaceutical or biotechnical manufacturing experience -highly preferred PMP Certification -preferred Experience with MS Project -preferred Lean Six Sigma certification - preferred
